The UKGCOA held its first Golf Marketing Bootcamp with Andrew Wood at Abbey Hill Golf Centre on the 5th September 2017.
The unique event saw around 60 delegates gather for the day to listen to Andrew Wood of Legendary Marketing give expert advice and strategies on how clubs can grow their business through marketing, communication and sales techniques.

Delegates were able to bring away a whole host of actionable ideas to grow their database, increase traffic to their website and not only increase their social media following but turn Facebook fans into paying customers. In addition, delegates also had the opportunity to tap into Andrew’s expertise with a Q&A session.
Richard Haygarth, Director of Maple Leaf Golf and Chairman of the UKGCOA commented “Andrew opened our eyes to a host of ways golf course owners can not only survive but thrive through better marketing and communication with the public. His theme of "if you change the story you change the results” really resonated with golf course owners.”
Attending the event, Director of Gaudet Luce Golf Club Alec Fernihough said “The boot camp was excellent, causing an hour and a half conversation between myself and my marketing manager on our way back to Worcestershire as to how we could improve what we do in terms of engaging with both present and potential customers.
I have a couple of Andrew Woods books and it was good to hear his thoughts on a number of things affecting the golf industry.
I have to say it was great to be able to attend free of charge as a member of UKGCOA and to be able to bring a key member of my team.”
The UKGCOA have partnered with Andrew Wood to provide UKGCOA members the cutting edge social media and marketing tools they need to succeed in this ever changing golf landscape. The tools worth hundreds of pounds per month are available to UKGCOA members at a 50% discount for just £19.95.
